Subject to academic success and performance during vacation work in Afrox, the “Young Talent Development Committee”, may renew your bursary and contract for another year. This process will .continue until you graduate.

You are required to do vacation work in Afrox during June/July and December/January university breaks. A line manager will conduct a formal performance appraisal at the end of both vacation work periods. You, in turn, will compile a presentation based on a project you will have completed during the work period. You will present it to the “Young Talent Development Committee”.

What does the bursary cover?

A fixed amount, reviewed annually, will be provided for the cost of tuition and books. Practical training, as required by the university, will be provided where possible during winter and/or summer vacations.

Will the bursary be available throughout my studies?

The tenure of the bursary is subject to good academic progress. Should a bursary holder’s academic results fall below an average of 60%, the continuance of the bursary may be reviewed.

How do I apply?

The selection process will take place in various centers (determined by where the short-listed candidates reside) during September, with the final decision regarding bursary allocations being made in November.

A bursary will be required to work at AECOM post their qualification, as the bursary will be written off at a rate of one year of full-time employment to the company for every year the bursary was paid for by the company.

Bursary Inclusion

100% of the prescribed university tuition fees, registration fees and exam fees.
An amount equal to the average rate for accommodation in a single room at a university hostel at the university at which the Sasol bursar is studying. This rate is determined by sasol in conjunction with the university.
An amount for meals based on three meals per day, as determined by the university.

Kzn Health Bursaries 2016 – 2017

Kzn Health bursaries are offered by KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health with the aim to promote and assist students with funds to complete their studies in line with medicine

Kzn Health bursaries candidates may obtain a KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health Bursary Application Form from the nearest Government Hospital, Human Resource Department, to where your family home is in KwaZulu-Natal. DO NOT go to the nearest Government Hospital to where you stay while at University, it may not be your home town. You or a family member must collect and sign for the application form. You must return the FULLY COMPLETED form to the same Hospital you collected it from.
Who Must Apply

A poster advertising the KZN Department of Health’s Bursary Program will be placed at all Provincial Hospitals, Internet, Clinics and Municipal Offices, and will clearly display the respective fields of study / scarce skills required by the KZN Department of Health. To provide 4 people with an opportunity to enrole for a Packaging Processing Learnership (NQF L3). They will enter into a 12 month, fixed term contract with Ibhayi Brewery during which they will undergo both on-the-job and off-the-job learning, culminating in a national qualification.
A learnership is a national qualification that is registered by Food & Beverage SETA and is a work-based route of attaining a national qualification. It consists of institutional learning (theory) as well as structured work-experience (practical on the packaging production line).

A total minimum number of 120 credits, which are based on fundamental, core and elective unit standards, need to be achieved.
